Dear Parents

In honour of The Lunar New Year, School Council will be selling Kumquat fruits at break time on Wednesday 21 February.

Kumquat fruits are miniature citrus fruit that closely resembles the orange. They look like tiny oranges, but unlike oranges, these small fruits are eaten whole, peel and all! The peel tastes sweet and aromatic and it’s full of healthy nutrients. We will teach children to roll the fruit between their fingers a few times. This action softens the skin and releases sweet aromas, making the kumquat taste extra palatable. Small but mighty - kumquats have many health benefits and are a true superfood. Quantities will be limited.
