Year 3 Forest school

After a blustery stormy night, Eden class went out for their final session of forest school with Mrs Webber. This time we went to an area of the school grounds which most of the children had never visited before. The far meadow. It was exciting to discover a whole new area of the school. A second field beyond our sports field. We examined the small meadow area and saw that flowers had grown in the longer grass next to the baby trees.

Our job was to plant the willow in boggy ground to make a miniature village of willow houses. We learnt to plant and weave the willow in special ways and had to work as a team to get everything done.

It looked lovely at the end, like an ancient stone-age settlement.
