Girls Cricket
A fantastic day was had at Old Woking Cricket Club in the Year 6 Girls' competition yesterday. We were up against some tough opponents and took with us a team of Year 5 (and a Year 4). Despite this, the girls showed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork and managed to come second overall.
Commenting on the performance, Mr Wellman, who was Chaperone, said: "I want to express how proud I was of the girls at the cricket tournament today. Although there were only 4 teams, they managed to win all 3 games, but narrowly lost the final. Considering it was a Year 6 tournament and our team was younger: they were Fantastic!"
Miss Lawrence was also very proud.
