Autumn Term Reflection

WBJS End of Autumn Term Message

The autumn term at West Byfleet Junior School has been a very successful and positive start to the school year. From the first day back, pupils embraced our core values of aspiration, resilience, opportunity, creativity and kindness, which have been evident in classrooms, around the school and during enrichment activities. Children have shown a real determination to try their best, take pride in their work and support one another, creating a calm, caring and motivated learning environment.

This term has been filled with exciting new topics that captured pupils’ interest and encouraged curiosity and creativity. Lessons across the curriculum have challenged children to think deeply, work collaboratively and develop important skills. Pupils have demonstrated resilience when learning has been demanding and have shown aspiration by setting high expectations for themselves. Enrichment activities and trips have further enhanced learning, giving pupils valuable opportunities to explore beyond the classroom and make meaningful connections to their studies.

Teachers and staff have been extremely proud of the positive attitudes shown by pupils throughout the term. Kindness and respect have been at the heart of everything we do, helping to strengthen our school community and ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.

Now it is time to relax, unwind and enjoy a well-earned break. We hope all families have a happy, restful and enjoyable holiday, spending quality time with friends and family. Stay safe and make the most of this special time. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year for more fun trips, exciting lessons and many more opportunities to shine.
