Welcome to the Year 4 Homework Page 2025-2026
This is where you’ll find weekly homework tasks, helpful resources, and reminders.
Science Expo Homework
Over the next 4/5 weeks, we would like the children to come away from the usual grid-style homework and focus on homework linked to our Science Expo (refer to email from Miss Jones for more information).
Each week, the children will need to focus on a different aspect of the expo (see timetable below), with the end goal being that they have created something to show/present to parents in school.

We will attach any resources the children may need or like to use to the bottom of this page, in order for you to download them if you wish.
This week (as above), we would like the children to start thinking about what they would like to do and plan for this. We have also attached a planning sheet below for them to use if they wish; however, they can choose their own format if they would like to.
Below are some ideas the children might like to think about for their Science projects (this can also be downloaded at the bottom of this page).

Homework is always shared on a Thursday and is due in the following Tuesday.
Reading Expectations: Please read with an adult a minimum of three times a week. Reading at home five or more times a week will earn you 5 House Points and a square on the class Reading Challenge. Make sure an adult signs your Reading Record. Please make sure they are in school every day.
Accelerated Reader: Please use the link below to be directed to the school's Accelerated Reader quizzes.
TTRS: To help with your times table knowledge, you need to complete 15 minutes of times tables practice in garage mode as homework. Once you have completed the 15 minutes you have access to all other modes.
Please do not complete a homework task from the grid this week. Pyrford and Wisley flower show is around the corner and we'd like you to complete one of their tasks.
Grid Homework: Please pick one of the tasks on the grid and record this in your homework book (e.g. photos, writing, pictures etc.). By the end of the Summer Term you will need to have completed all the tasks.
