Summer Reading Challenge 2025

Thank you to Mrs Haworth and Mrs Wooldridge from Surrey Libraries for delivering two wonderful Summer Reading Challenge Assemblies in School this week.

This year’s theme is Story Garden – Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors’, which aims to spark children’s imagination and inspire a love of reading through nature-based storytelling.

The challenge is open to all primary-aged children (though older pupils can join too!), and it launches on Saturday 5 July, running through to Saturday 13 September.

Children are encouraged to read up to six books over the summer to earn rewards, including a certificate and a wristband.

Children will need to be a member of the library to sign up for the challenge, but joining the library does not take long and is free.
