Collective Worship
At West Byfleet Junior School there is a daily Act of Collective Worship. Members of the Senior Management take turns to lead assembly on a particular theme planned for that week. The theme is closely linked to the music and encourages the children to reflect closely on their own experiences.
Each term a School Assembly team, SCATS (a Christian body based in Woking) takes an assembly with the children.
On a Friday there is a special theme of celebration of children’s achievement in the case of a class assembly or presentation of merit certificates for achievement.
If any parent so desires, his/her child can be excused from attending religious worship in assemblies and from religious lessons.
