CURRICULUM

West Byfleet Junior School offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to enhance the intellectual, social, physical and personal development of each child. The school teaches the core subjects of Literacy, Numeracy, Science and ICT as well as the foundation subjects of Art, Design Technology, Geography, History, Music, PSHE, PE and RE.

This coming year 2006/7 we are starting to use a creative curriculum approach to the childrens' learning. This will mean that all the subjects, as much as is possible, are linked to a particular area of study!

The pupils will work through Key Stage 2 by a carefully monitored combination of topic approach and separate subject teaching which ensures the appropriate programmes of study are covered.
